Nine New Zealand shooters attended the 2008 Bianchi Cup Action Pistol Event held in the USA.
Congratulations to all Kiwi shooters but in particular Karl, Tiffany, Warren, Roger and Richard members from APC.
The Overall winner this year was Doug Koenig with a score of 1918 – 185x

Hello Action Pistol shooters. The John Cameron Memorial Cup Shoot is all set to run 15th June at the Auckland Pistol Club. This event will be run on the same day as it will be shot in the USA in memory of our good friend John. A couple of changes this year; because we wish to use the J.C. Cup Shoot as a NZ team selection MQS opportunity, the competition will be shot at John’s home club rather than a national postal shoot.
We have added an extra $5 to the entry fee – something I would like to see happen and all future Action Pistol competitions – this extra $5 per entry will go into a trust fund to assist and promote our sport of Action Pistol.
In an effort to encourage new shooters, we have created the “480 Action Match” this involves a twelve shot string of fire from the four major events and can be shot with a basic centre fire or .22 pistol. The start position is pistol held at the 45 degree ready position. This category is open to all ungraded / tyro shooters. We really do need to promote and build the number of new shooters. May I ask that you really try and get new club members along to this, and other Action shoots. Entry fee for the 480 Match is just $15 as a further incentive.
